Born Oct. 21st 1846 Glasgow, Scotland. Died Feb. 9th 1885
Dunedin, New Zealand. Was a nominated immigrant from Glasgow. Brought out to
New Zealand (1878) by A&T Burt Limited Dunedin as a
brassfinisher. Died from Meningitis aged 38 and buried in Northern
cemetery Dunedin. Born March 5th 1849 Paisley, Scotland (Jeanie). Died
Sept. 7th 1927 Kamo, New Zealand. After the death of James Harrison in 1885, Mrs Jeanie
Harrison operated a restaurant in a large rooming and shop
building part of which is now the foyer of the Regent
Theatre in the Lower Octagon, Dunedin. She was buried in Kamo cemetery Whangarei. (Listed under
her third marriage name - Jeanie Connett) James Harrison and Jane Frew married in Glasgow June 11th
1869.
